Enrolment Process

Catholic Schools Broken Bay has designed this enrolment process to work hand-in-hand with parents to ensure the best outcome for their child. The process aims to give you opportunities to share your goals for your child as they commence their school journey with us.  

The two North Harbour Parish schools, St Cecilia’s Catholic Primary School, Balgowlah, and St Kieran’s Catholic Primary School, Manly Vale will come together, commencing Term 1 2026

St Cecilia’s Catholic Primary School is currently undergoing a new transformational change into a St Paul’s Junior Campus offering Years 5 and 6. From the beginning of the 2026 school year, the two North Harbour Parish schools, St Cecilia’s Catholic Primary School, Balgowlah, and St Kieran’s Catholic Primary School, Manly Vale will come together, offering K-Year 6 education at the St Kieran’s site at Manly Vale.

All current students at St Cecilia’s, Balgowlah, including those enrolled for Kindergarten 2026, will be warmly welcomed at St Kieran’s, Manly Vale, commencing from 2026.

A new St Paul’s Junior Campus (Years 5 and 6), commencing Term 1 2026

Having successfully transitioned to co-education in 2025, St Paul’s Catholic College, Manly will be expanding into a dynamic Year 5-12 multi-campus College, commencing in 2026. The new St Paul’s campus accommodating Years 5 and 6 and delivering the Stage 3 Hub, will be located at the existing site of St Cecilia’s Catholic Primary School, Balgowlah. The Hub will provide tailored, Middle-School education for children in Years 5 and 6 who will then continue their secondary school journey at St Paul’s Catholic College, Manly.

 

New Families to Catholic Schools Broken Bay

Step 1: Complete and Submit the Enrolment Application Form and select St Kieran’s Manly Vale in the dropdown menu.

Parents/carers are also welcome to come to the school to collect an enrolment package.

The completed Enrolment Application, together with the requested supporting documentation listed below, can be submitted via email or in person to our school office.

  • Birth Certificate,  
  • Sacramental certificates (if applicable)
  • Child’s current immunisation record  

Please refer to the checklist within the enrolment application to ensure all applicable documentation accompanies your application.  

Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee automatic placement 

Step 2: Interview with the Principal

The enrolling student and at least one parent/carer are required to attend the interview.  

Once we receive your application, our enrolments officer will contact you to schedule a time. These interviews take place shortly after the submission of the application and run throughout the school year. 

Step 3: Enrolment Offer or Waitlist

Shortly after your interview, we will contact you regarding your application.  The outcome of your enrolment application is based on our Enrolment Principles.

Step 4: Enrolment Acceptance Letter 

We ask that you return the Enrolment Acceptance Form and secure your position at the school by the requested date. We will then provide you with transition dates so as to welcome your family to our school community.
